World Nomads Travel Insurance
The World Nomads travel insurance offers good coverage for independent travellers, backpackers, students and volunteers. It is flexible: extend when your plan changes, and it is possible to apply, even when you are already abroad. Coverage for medical & emergency evacuation, baggage, cancellation costs, dental and liability depends on your country of permanent residence. Note: currently not available for EU residents.

- Transport to the nearest, appropriate medical facility, including medical repatriation for further treatment at home.
- Travel and accommodation expenses for a friend or relative to accompany you in hospital or during repatriation.

- The costs to cancel all or part of your trip, including other pre-booked expenses, in specific circumstances.
- Pre-Trip Cancellation: €3,500 (Standard), €7,000 (Explorer).
- Trip Interruption: €2,500 (Standard), €3,500 (Explorer).
- Resumption of Trip: €1,000 (Standard), €2,000 (Explorer).
- Travel Delay: €350 (Standard), €700 (Explorer).
- Missed Flight Connection €700, Hijacking €700 and Special Event Cover €350 (Explorer).

No cover for travel bans and war zones
There is no cover available for travel to any country or part of it with a COVID-19 travel ban, and any events that arise when you travel against any DFA travel bans or Do Not Travel warnings. World Nomads does not offer war & high risk zone insurance.

Conditions depend on your country of residence
Policy conditions and adventure sport coverage differ depending on country of permanent residence. Age limit may vary, depending on country of permanent residence. Cover is available to residents of the 140 countries listed on the World Nomads website.

Credit card only, no refund on early return
Insurance can only be purchased with credit card. No policy refund available should you return home early.
