What determines your premium?
-
Your age
Example premiums for Zone 3 rise with age: inpatient cover with a €500 deductible costs €52 per month at age 25 and €204 per month at age 65.
-
Your area of cover (zone)
The example premiums are for Zone 3. Countries fall into different premium zones, and some zones are more expensive than others.
-
A higher deductible
You can select a high deductible (up to €5,000 per year) on inpatient care to lower your premium.
-
A co-payment on outpatient care
Co-payment options (10% or 20%) for outpatient costs also adjust your premium.
-
The optional cover you choose
Optional add-ons for outpatient care, repatriation, maternity, dental, and optics. Adding repatriation raises the Zone 3 example at age 25 from €52 to €81 per month.
